ABOUT THE PROJECT
Douglas County and the City of Omaha Public Works Department have recognized the Q Street corridor as a primary east/west connector through our community.
This widening project has been long identified in the comprehensive plan and is the next step in addressing how to accommodate the significant traffic growth the area has seen and will experience in the future. Several years ago, the City of Omaha completed construction on Q Street from approximately 158th Street to 170th Street. This project continues the widening of Q Street from where that project ended and continues through 184th Street.
